Our exceptional, friendly staff is our greatest asset. All of our dental assistants and hygienists are professionals who pride themselves on staying on the cutting edge of dentistry and patient communication. They are excited about what they are doing, have high standards of quality and integrity, and are motivated to achieve the best results for our family of patients.
Our Dental Team includes four full-time hygienists. They are all very important members of our staff who insure that every patient is fully educated, informed and treated with the best of care.
Hygienist: Debbie began working with our practice in 1996 as a dental assistant. During her employment, she completed an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Wytheville Community College in 1997. Debbie maintains a meticulous effort toward patient periodontal care. She, as all our staff, continuously expands their knowledge and refines their skills in patient care. She takes particular interest in introducing the latest in technology to our practice. She and her husband, Dr. Seaver, reside in Bristol, Tennessee with their dog and cat. She has three stepdaughters: Ashley, Anna and Hailey. She and Dr. Seaver are both race fans and they also enjoy traveling, boating and snow skiing. She is an avid animal lover and is committed to helping animals in need. She is active in the rescue efforts, rehabilitation and placement of various animals in loving homes. She is also a foster representative for The Pug Rescue of North Carolina. She volunteers her time to raise awareness and money for the organization.
Hygienist: Melanie has been with our practice since 2004. Melanie graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2002 with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Melanie prides herself in the care of her patients and the treatment of periodontal disease. She continuously keeps up to date with the latest to offer in periodontal care and customer service. She resides in Johnson City, Tennessee with her partner and their three dogs. Melanie is an environmentalist and avid animal lover. She works devotedly to the rescue of animals in need and follows through with the placement of each animal in a loving home. She is a member of The Humane Society of The United States, World Wildlife Fund and Nature Conservancy.
Our six dental assistants are technically qualified as Registered Dental Assistants to state standards and have excellent chair-side manners. They strive to make each patients visit as comfortable as possible while doing their job with the utmost proficiency. No patient is unimportant to our staff and no problem too small.
Dental Assistant: Kristy has been a part of our practice as Dr Pittman's assistant for six years. She began her Dental Assisting career 13 years ago in Washington State. She assists Dr Pittman with all clinicall procedures and excels at helping our patients achieve the beautiful smiles they deserve. She enjoys assisting with Cosmetic and Esthetic procedures. Kristy is often complimented for being attentive to our patients' needs and making sure that they understand and are comfortable during all phases of smile design. She is also comfortable with the latetst developments in dental technology and materials, therefore allow her to provide the highest standard care and comfort to our patients. Kristy, her husband and daughter, enjoy spending time as a famly and many outdoor activities.
Dental Assistant: Melissa began her Dental Assisting career 18 years ago at East Tennessee State University and is a Certified Dental Assistant. One of Melissa's goals is to make all of our patients comfortable as she goes to all lengths to create a five-star atmosphere. She is often complimented for her dedication and patience, and her highest priority is to have outstanding patient relationships. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with the greatest amount of comfort. Melissa assists Dr Pittman with all clinical procedures, but enjoys assisting with Oral Surgery & Sedation procedures, and always goes the extra mile to make our patients feel at home. She is also comfortable with the latest developments in dental technology and materials, therefore allowing her to provide the highest standard of care and comfort to our patients. She helps keep our team organized and running smoothly.
Dental Assistant: Brooke has joined our team in the last year and is another one of Dr. Pittman's assistants. Brooke began her career in Dental Assisting by training at the Washington County Skill Center in 2006. Brooke is fully capable of assisting Dr Pittman in all clinical procedures. Brooke especially enjoys working with the children in our practice assisting with all Pediatric Dental Procedures. Her highest priority is making sure all patients are comfortable and that they receive the highest quality of dental care possible. As a mother, Brooke wants to treat your child as she would want one of her children to be treated in the dental office. Brooke and her husband welcomed a new baby boy in 2008 and have a daughter who started Kindergarten in the Fall of 2008.
Our Business Office Management Team strives to make every visit as easy and smooth as possible. We work with insurance companies and take as much of the guess work out of billing as possible. Our staff also utilizes a computerized scheduling system, which enables us to keep track of every patient and appointment time.
